The “R” Family

With the family all in town for Thanksgiving, Mr. R contacted me about doing some family pictures.  We had great weather and met out at Iron Woods Park in Leawood.  I often work with families with younger children, so it was great to be working with all adults for a change!

Liz and Drew

On October 2nd, Liz and Drew were married in a beautiful ceremony at Second Presbyterian Church with a lovely reception at Mission Hills Country Club.  Click the photo below for a video of images from the day.

Kelcie–Class of 2011

I was a bit shocked when a friend of mine from high school called and asked if I could take her daughter’s senior pictures.  It made me feel a little old (but not as old though as when I found out two years ago that a boy I grew up going to Sunday School with had become a grandfather at the age of 35, but that’s another story…)

I met Kelcie and her mom Karren at Loose Park this afternoon for some pictures.  Kelcie was a terrific model and whipped out some poses that Tyra would be proud of.  Here’s one of the early ones from our shoot.  I can’t wait to see how the rest came out!

And the winner is…

If you’ve been following me on Facebook (and really, why wouldn’t you be???), you’ll know that last week I was running a contest here on the blog.  Anyone who left a comment on any of my posts was entered into a drawing to win a FREE photography session.

I was really pleased with how many people stopped by and left a message, but there can be only one winner (unless you count the pleasure of reading my witty writing to be a winning proposition…)  And the winner is Tara Rezen.  She’s a friend from a ways back and her kids modeled for me a couple of years ago when I was doing a Valentine’s Day promotion.  Can’t wait to work with you again, Tara!

And here’s one of those shots from Valentine’s Day…

Corporate Headshots

Corporate headshots may not be the most glamorous part of photography, but they ARE important.  I was recently contacted by Rich Adams of Creative Accounting Solutions about doing some pictures of him that could be used on his new website and Linked In and other professional websites.  I was happy to accommodate him, and in just a few minutes we were able to get several different looks.

This is the picture that Rich ended up choosing from our session, and I think it looks terrific (if I do say so myself).  So, if your beans need counting, get in touch with Rich.  If you need a new photo for your professional image, get in touch with me!
