Thanks so much for stopping by to learn more about me and my photography business.
One of the first things that people often ask is what the "J" in J. Todd Photgraphy stands for. Well, my full name is Jeremy Todd Messenger. If things had gone according to my mother's plans, it would be Jeremiah Todd Messenger, but shortly before I was born, the world came to know that Jeremiah was a bullfrog, so Jeremiah became Jeremy.
I've been taking pictures for longer than I care to admit and have been working professionally since 2005. Some of my fondest memories as a child are the times that we spent gathered around boxes and albums of snapshots and professional portraits that my ancestors have passed down through the generations. I realize that I'm not just creating art for people's homes, but heirlooms for their families.
I work out of my home in central Overland Park which I share with my dog Shandy. She was rescued from a kill shelter in the fall of 2009 and although she's my first indoor dog, I can't imagine life without her (shedding and all). She's as cute as a button, and you'll likely get to meet her during your proofing and ordering session.
In addition to photography, I love to cook and bake. If you're really good at your portrait session, there's a good chance that there will be some freshly baked chocolate chip cookies at your ordering session. Although I'm a decent cook, baking is what I really enjoy and desserts are my downfall. A big bowl of ice cream makes my heart happy!
So, I hope that you enjoy the visit to my site. Kick back, take a look around, and feel free to if you have any questions!
My best to you!
Todd
